GENERAL LIABILITY AND TERMS
Initial Appointment
Introductory session:
Before any treatment begins, an introductory or anamnesis session is required, either in person or online. No treatment will be carried out without this session. After this conversation, the therapist may decide to refer the client elsewhere and retains the right to decline further treatment.
Follow-up sessions:
A brief evaluation takes place at each follow-up appointment. The client is responsible for informing the therapist in a timely manner of any changes in their situation.
Evaluation:
Before and after each session, the therapist and client discuss how the session was experienced. The therapist may terminate the therapeutic process at any time. In such cases, the client will receive a refund of any prepaid sessions.
Information:
The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information. Inaccurate or incomplete information may affect the outcome of treatment.
Therapist responsibility:
The therapist is committed to supporting the client to the best of their professional ability but cannot guarantee specific results.
Privacy:
All personal data is treated confidentially according to GDPR guidelines. After completion of treatment, the client file is stored anonymously for 20 years in accordance with Dutch legal requirements.
Other healthcare providers:
If the client is currently receiving care from a doctor, physiotherapist or specialist, this must be reported in advance.
Prices:
The therapist will clearly communicate all prices before treatment. Current prices are listed on the website.
The therapist reserves the right to adjust fees; clients with ongoing sessions will be informed as soon as possible and always before a new appointment.
MEDICAL HISTORY AND ETHICS
Honesty:
The client must provide truthful information regarding medication use and medical history.
Psychological conditions:
Severe psychological issues (such as psychosis) must be disclosed in advance. The therapist may decide to refer the client to another professional.
Complementary care:
The therapist’s services are complementary to regular medical care. The therapist does not diagnose medical conditions, does not cure illnesses and never advises discontinuing prescribed medication.
Treatment plan:
The therapist creates a treatment plan based on the information provided by the client and conducts sessions with professional care and expertise.
Legislation:
The therapist adheres to the Dutch WGBO and Wkkgz guidelines, including confidentiality obligations, and the complaints and disciplinary procedures via CAT and GAT.
LIABILITY
Own risk:
The client makes use of the therapist’s services voluntarily and at their own risk.
Damage:
The therapist is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect or withheld information provided by the client.
Personal property:
The therapist is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings in or around the practice.
Treatment results:
The therapist cannot be held liable for the absence of expected results or for any negative effects.

If the client arrives late, the session will be shortened without a reduction in cost.
TREATMENT AGREEMENT
Formation:
After the introductory session, a treatment agreement is established when a follow-up appointment is booked. This agreement is documented in writing and includes the therapeutic relationship, the client’s request for help and the treatment goals.
Files are stored for at least 20 years in line with legal requirements.

Hygiene:
Clients are expected to attend sessions clean, sober and clear-headed.
Respect:
Disrespect or boundary-crossing behaviour will not be tolerated. The therapist may refuse further sessions without refund.

Complaints can be submitted to the professional association CAT or the GAT Disputes Committee.
Applicable law:
All agreements are governed by Dutch law.

Afzeggingen:
Betaling:
Bij intake dient vooraf per factuur te worden betaald.
Betaling van vervolgconsulten vindt plaats via pin of factuur, direct na afloop van de sessie.
Voor telefonische of online consulten ontvangt de cliënt vooraf een factuur die voorafgaand aan de sessie moet worden voldaan.
Incasso:
Bij niet-nakoming van betalingsverplichtingen ontvangt de cliënt een betalingsherinnering, waarvoor €12,50 extra in rekening wordt gebracht.
Bij verdere wanbetaling kunnen incassokosten tot minimaal 15% van de hoofdsom (€35 minimum) worden doorberekend.
Annulering workshops/cursussen:
Tot twee weken vooraf: €50 annuleringskosten.
Binnen twee weken: volledige kosten verschuldigd.
Te laat komen:
Bij te laat verschijnen wordt de sessie ingekort zonder korting op de kosten.
BEHANDELOVEREENKOMST
Totstandkoming: Na het kennismakingsgesprek ontstaat bij het maken van een vervolgafspraak een behandelingsovereenkomst. Deze wordt schriftelijk vastgelegd. Deze overeenkomst omvat de therapeutische verhouding tussen cliënt en therapeut, de hulpvraag en de behandeldoelen.
De overeenkomst wordt minimaal 20 jaar bewaard, conform wettelijke eisen.
Vertrouwelijkheid en Cliëntdossier

HYGIËNE, VEILIGHEID EN RESPECT
Hygiëne: Cliënten dienen gewassen/gedoucht en nuchter/helder te zijn tijdens de sessies.
Respectvolle omgang: Respectloos gedrag wordt niet getolereerd. Bij grensoverschrijdend gedrag kan de therapeut verdere sessies weigeren zonder restitutie.

Klachten en Geschillen
Klachtenprocedure: Klachten kunnen worden ingediend bij de beroepsvereniging CAT of via de Geschilleninstantie Alternatieve Therapeuten (GAT).
Toepasselijk recht: Op alle overeenkomsten is Nederlands recht van toepassing.
Vragen: Voor vragen over de voorwaarden of de privacyverklaring kan contact worden opgenomen met de therapeut.
